Just a quickie…

rn

Don’t you just love quickies???  Okay…Okay…That was bad…Sorry…Hopefully there is no one under the age of 18 reading…

rn

So I hope you all had a wonderful St. Pat’s day…I certainly did!

rn

I will spare you all the gory details but for the first time ever, I celebrated for most of the day! Started at noon and ended at midnight…Many drinks later…I lost count of my drinks, but I learned a few things…

rn

My husband knows way too much about alcohol! He had to show a bartender yesterday how to make a drink called an Irish Flag…Its a shot, really…And man, was it delish!!!! (For those of you interested, its Cream DeMint (Green) Baileys (White) and Grand Marnier (Sp?) (Orange)…You layer it in a shot glass and it truly resembles the Irish Flag…It is completely yummyfied!!!)

rn

I also had no idea how much I like Bailey’s Irish Cream! I have it all the time in my coffee…But had no idea you could just order it on ice!! Me and my sister in law threw back a few of those…And she kept saying “Are you SURE this is alcohol???” she had no idea either…YUM!!!

rn

So we had a mighty fine time…

rn

I am getting ready to head up to the work out room this morning to get in a very long, very full, “The day after” workout…

rn

I will probably be MIA for the next couple of days, as tomorrow is the hubby’s 43 birthday!! (Is he ancient, or what????) so I  have the day off and he and I are going up to Ohio’s Amish Country for some cheese, wine, and delicious pan fried chicken…No, I will not be on plan at all…

rn

And no, I dont really care!

rn

I will eat in moderation, and work it off this week. I have promised myself to do so…The weather is promising to be much nicer this week as Spring rolls in, so I feel pretty good all and all about my plight in life!!! (Well, diet wise! LOL!!)

rn

Take care buddies of mine…Have a very happy Sunday and Monday, and I will catch up with you all again on Tuesday!

rn

Love-

rn

Dawnie

    Happy Birthday to Steve!

I was thinking about you yesterday, wondering how you would spend the holiday. Have you ever had a Mind Screw?

It’s layered like your shot, but it’s a drink. It’s Chocolate Liquor, Club Soda, and then Vodka. You are supposed to drink it with a straw. By the time the chocolate gets too sweet you hit the soda, and then the vodka. It will knock you on your ass.

The first time I ever had one was when we were celebrating my good friend’s coming out at the local gay bar, the bartender kept giving me those saying, ” Drink up breeder, I like you, you look like Wynonna. “

Dawnie…..I have not been on in over a week so I am catching up on blogs. I have just  read all of yours that I missed. The one about the dog food really got me thinking. Wow, I have lost that much! That is the size we buy for our dog and hubby carries it in the house because it is so heavy and I use to carry that around with me every day! Thanks for the inspiration!

    Have a great day!

Bailey’s Irish Creme…When I moved to California, staying with a girlfriend, she was messaging my now-ex (we were separated then) while we were drinking  White Russians…Bailey’s Irish Creme, Kaluha, and I don’t quite know what else.  She told him we were entertaining Russians and Irishmen.  He freaked!!!!

Have fun celebrating Steve’s B-day.  Give him a special present…you all wrapped in a sexy nightie!!!!!

Sounds like you had a blast with close friends - and that shot sounds delicious! God I need a drink - lol, haven’t had one in a long time. My drink of choice is whiskey sour. I also looooooove SoCo and lime shots…and white russians, and I also had a slippery nipple drink once that was very very good - Bailey’s, Kahlua and the South African liquor Amarula. YUM. I hope you have an amazing time in Amish country and tell your hubby happy birthday!
