Japanese food breeds annoying chic!!
rn
rn
Okay so this blog is courtesy of my husband. He said ?I think you should blog today about that annoying chick last night??
rn
rn
So here you go Stevie? This Bud, I mean, blog?s for you!
rn
rn
Yesterday, I must admit, I was rather bratty?I didn?t really know what my problem was at the time, but I woke up crabby, my husband said something rather innocently that sent me into a mad frenzy, I fought with a good friend, I bit my bosses head off, I forgot to email my buddy Tina (Sorry!!)?
rn
rn
Yesterday was not a stellar day for me?
rn
rn
To top it all off, I was craving Japanese food in the worst way!!! I mean, obsessively!!! (who, her???) Not a food I normally crave by the way!!! Still, no lightbulb went on over my head?
rn
rn
So when I got home last night, husband says quite cutely ?Dawn, I have thought long and hard about this?I think it would be in all of our best interests if we skipped the gym tonight and just went and got Japanese food!?. I was soooooo happy!!! And truly, truer words had never been spoken. He is the only one that escaped my wrath last night, and I think he has the Japanese food to thank!!!
rn
rn
So, hopefully all of you have been to a Japanese steak house ONCE in your life?If you have, you realize you sit at a table with usually 8-12 other folks depending on the place?
rn
rn
So we get sat next to another couple, approximately our age, maybe a tad younger?
rn
rn
And I kid you not? From the moment this girl sat down till the moment she got up, she NEVER, NEVER stopped talking!!!
rn
rn
And unfortunately, she was a LOUD talker?I was three people down from her and could hear every little detail of her life. I can tell you she went on a job interview yesterday, and that she was going with her ?Friend? to a movie that night. I can tell you that she LOVED the movie ?Boogie Nights? and that she was annoyed with one of her friends? It was absolutely ridiculous that I could here her sooooo clearly, three spots down, over the pumped in MUSAK music and the clinking of the utensils our wonderful chef was using?
rn
rn
Now, to add insult to injury, she AND her male companion, had their cell phones out the ENTIRE dinner, texting whoever they were, and TALKING on the phone, at the table, while the chef was putting on his show?I found this incredibly rude to him and to us?
rn
rn
They then, very rudely, asked for their check before dinner was over, because they had a movie to get to?UGH!!!!
rn
rn
Now, I was easily annoyed yesterday, so I didn?t really think much of it, I thought it was just me being pissy? But then I looked at my husband as they were leaving?
rn
rn
Now?You must know that my husband is one of the MOST laid back people I have ever known. It takes a lot, A LOT to rile him up, or irritate him?And I rarely see him confront anyone? They get up to go and he looks at me and says ?THANK GOD!!! She was the most annoying chick ever!? I was like, I know, right??? Come to find out he was soooo annoyed that he almost, per his words, ?went over and smacked her!?
rn
rn
Now that I would have paid to see!!!!
rn
rn
Now, I love my cell phone, I do?But there is a time and place?A very crowded Japanese food table is NOT the place?
rn
rn
PUT AWAY THE CELL PHONES PEOPLE!!
rn
rn
Oh, and today I noticed signs of TOM?s impending arrival?Which now more then explains my rather rude and nasty emotional behaviour yesterday!!! UGH?I HATE TOM!!!
rn
rn
And the Japanese food was delightful, by the way, and I absolutely do not regret one bite! J
rn
rn
Down with annoying chicks I say!!!
rn
rn
Chow!

(P.S., I have no idea why the fonts are funky in this post!!! Not my doing I swear it!!!!
)

I had a similar day yesterday. (Well I didn’t go to a Japanese restaurant) I was very emotional yesterday. TOM is here to see me too! I hate TOM! I cannot stand those loud talkers. Sometimes I call them loud cell phone talkers and I say it loud enough they can hear me. Sometimes they shut up and sometimes they don’t.
Put them all in the same restaurant together!!!!
Hope you have a better day today!
Maybe if everybody complains loudly enough, they’ll start a restaurant chain specifically for cronic cell phone users!
You girls make me sooooo glad TOM doesn’t come visit me any more!!!
WOW! I have to say, on the bus I am often on my phone, but I am nice and go all the way to the back and talk as quitely as possible. I can not stand when others hear my conversation.
I am glad that your DH stands in agreement with you!!!
I know! What is the world comming too! Seems to me people are getting ruder by the minute. My -favorite is the cell phones in the theater! We went to a show once and this chic had like 4 calls, she had her phone off but we got to hear the squeals about her vibrating pocket each time. Someone must have complained as they finally asked her to step into the lobby if she had to take the call.
I’ve never eated japenese food.I would have no idea where to begin in a Japenese resturant!
People like that drive me MAD, and I am a very laid back person. It takes alot to get me going, but that’ll do it.
It will never cease to amaze me how ignorant some people are towards their surroundings and others. I heard the term, “Obliviot” used for a person like that once, and I now use that term myself. It’s perfect. A combo of “Oblivious idiot”. hehe
OMG, I am PMSing right now and I would have confronted them without the slightest hesitation…I feel for you Dawnie, you just wanted to have an enjoyable meal and these two wreck it…
Reminds me when my hubby and I went to see Cast Away in the theaters when it came out…there were two women behind us that talked the whole time Tom Hanks was on the island…..
They commentated the movie..”Oh no, he cut himself, oh dear he’s bleeding”…………we kept giving them THE LOOK, but they were out to lunch…lucky for them I wasn’t in PMS mode lol!!!
Yes Dawn it did rain here in cloudy MN!! My dance worked but I don’t know if it’s raining in the town that my hubby has to work. It looks and feel like spring here!! The forcast for the weekend however is that we will be dumped on. (lots of snow)
That chic would have had me bummin too. It’s like you can chat on the phone anytime, enjoy your dinner and quit driving your neighbors crazy and ruining their night!!!
May pounds and bitchiness leave with TOM!! he he
Loved this blog!! I don’t know how you kept your cool!! I can’t stand people like that! Poor Steve!! And of course, poor you, although I am rather puzzled as to why you didn’t set her straight!!
Hope you’re having a much better day today!! And yes, I think TOM is making his rounds around here as well! Death to TOM!
I would have been so annoyed! There is a time and a place for cell phones. I turn mine off when we are in public places like that! There is nothing more annoying than chatting people when you are trying to enjoy a meal or movie etc. Thinking back to when restaraunts had smoking and non smoking sections, I think they should now have cell phone and non-cell phone sections!
Hope today is a much better day for you!
I feel your pain !!!!! Thank god for men who understand ,and give in.
I wanna start by saying that you did good in listening to your body - would you have had a great workout with such a mood and such a craving? Probably not. I absolutely agree with you about cell phones - I detest when a companion brings it out and puts it on the table and glances at it to see if they got texts. I ask my friends to put that s*** away when they do take it out because I find that incredibly, incredibly rude. I cannot fathom people who are so addicted that they have zero consideration for others - the loud talkers, the lound ringers, the ones who play with the ringtones, oh, and the worst by far - the freaking walkie-talkie styles ones - because, you know one half of the conversation isn’t bad enough.
Sounds like a good time minus the annoying woman. Thanks for sharing
