In search of Ogres…

rn

Good morning buddysimmers! Happy Sunday to you all! We are still in a deep freeze here in Central Ohio?Let me tell ya?I am kinda tired of it. I am sooooo very ready for Spring! UGH!!!

rn

rn

Starting off on a high note, I got on the scale yesterday morning before our Cleveland trip, and I was down some more?I have lost almost all the weight I had regained in just three days of being 100% on plan?I am very thankful for this, of course. Not sure why I am losing it sooo fast, but I shall NOT question it and just be thankful that I am?

I am going to stay on plan for the whole week this week, as I have nothing outstanding going on in my social life?Well, maybe a visit to a local bar Tuesday to see a friends band and enjoy ?Fat Tuesday? in the form of liquid libations? That?s about it.

rn

rn

I am going to work out all 7 days this week too?

rn

rn

Okay. So yesterday the husband and I headed to Cleveland with my Sister in Law, Brother in Law, and my five year old nephew Ryan?We were stopping at two brew pubs to do some beer tasting?

rn

rn

The first one we stopped at was having a little one week celebration of sorts that they call ?Ogre Fest??So I had told Ryan on the way up that we were going to Ogre Fest?So we get there, and settle in, and we start to peruse the menu, when he pops up and asks our waitress where the Ogres where? She then tried to explain to this 5 year old that there aren?t really Ogres here? That it just meant they were carrying, on tap, a bunch of heavier beers then normal? In essence, beers an Ogre would like?

rn

rn

I look at her and say, ?How do you know the Ogres like big beers? Did you guys do an Ogre pull of their top five beers or something?? She didn?t really answer me by the way, but Ryan thought it was hilarious! (Yes, my humor caters to five year olds! ) but then Ryan looks at her and says quite seriously, ?You should have called Shrek. I bet he would have come. I bet he likes beer??It was ever so cute?He was disappointed there were no REAL Ogres there, but then his chicken fingers came and all was right with his five year old world again?

rn

rn

We had a great time on our trip yesterday!! I ate and drank without reserve, but I can honestly say I only ate once yesterday. I did not eat all the food I had ordered, and I was full much quicker then I wanted to be?Some of that could be blamed on the 12 beers I consumed! It was a great time though and today I shall be right back on plan?

rn

rn

I gotta say though, that the miserably full feeling I carried with me through out the evening last night. I just don?t like it.

rn

rn

I simply don?t like eating to complete fullness anymore? It makes me soooo miserable, like I have abused my poor stomach to no end?And I certainly don?t do it often these days, but yesterday was a great reminder of how crappy food can make you feel?BLUCK?I did not like it so I am gonna try hard NOT to feel that way again for a long long time?

rn

rn

Hope you all have a great restful Sunday!!!!

rn

rn

Stay warm!

Out of the mouth of babes…..could they be any cuter??

Congrats on losing that weight…..you gotta be happy it didn’t take as long as you thought. I know exactly what you mean by that gross full feeling.  I’m with ya there.

We’re still in a deep freeze too, but we’re used to it now.  Good ole Canada, eh?

Enjoy the rest of your weekend…..great job all week.  Cheers to next week!  Peace Out…

Your nephew sounds so cute! The wisdom of a five year old……

Isn’t it something that once we start eating right how yucky we feel when we mess up and over do it with the wrong kinds of food! I was at a birthday party. I only ate once yesterday too, but all the wrong foods and I still feel yuck this morning!

Glad you had a nice trip!

    Have a good day!

I think Ryan Is wise beyond his years!

Sounds like you guys had a fun trip!

Congrats on the loss and holding down the 12 beers!

I am praying for Spring too! Last night we finally got our first real snow 2 whole inches. The weather man said that it should melt off by 3 this afternoon. Maybe you should fly south it is going to be 60*  by Friday here.

Stay warm and enjoy your Sunday!

You can tell that I am the mother of two young children. The first thing that came into my mind after reading your title was, ‘ Oh Dawn’s looking forward to Shrek 3. ‘  We just saw the trailer for that the other day, I thought you had seen it too.

Anyway, it sounds like a great day, minus the sick tummy. There are days that it really annoys me how quickly I get full, especially when it’s something I really like.

12 beers? Damn girl, you could give Scott a run for his money.

Oh Dawnie, it’s even cold here in Florida and I love the heat….I mean the hot, humid heat…yeah, I’m weird like that but that’s why I live here and do not plan to leave until I retire somewhere in the Caribbean….  I’m glad you had fun at your beer tasting and that you have an OP week planned…..you’ll get to goal in no time at all.

I’m so tired of the cold too here in the midwest, are we in the arctic??  What is going on???

Anyway, glad you had fun.  Glad you were able to not binge on food (beer, now thats questionable!).  Its so funny how our stomachs adapt so much faster than our heads sometimes.  I want to overeat in my head, but my stomach says “NO WAY”.  Good for you!

    Stay warm!

Sounds like so much fun!  I love going to beer tastings.  Especially when everything is free!

I ate too much for dinner last night as well, and I was stuffed. I hate that feeling too!  It’s amazing how much more energetic and good we can feel by eating the right foods in the right proportions.

Keep up the good work in this coming week!

Bummer on seeing no ogres!!  Glad you got to sample all the cool beers though!!  Oh and I’m sure Great Lakes was a treat it is always fantastic when we go!!  Sounds like you had a wonderful day and I think it was a great way to celebrate your mark on the scale!!  Good luck with staying on plan this week.. You can do it I know it!!  So did you bring back anything tasty for your beer loving friend here in central Ohio??

Hi Dawnie, thanks for the welcome post.  I hope you get some warm weather soon.  I live in Austin, Texas and we are not used to freezing weather which is what we got for about 4 days last month.  Didn’t like that one bit!  But at least we got 3 days off from work and the city basically shut down.  Congratulations on your weight loss success.  Someday, I hope to achieve that same success.

    Take care!
