Good morning buddies! I am ever so excited today!

I had the whole morning to myself today, and MAN…It was rather delightful! I feel so very GIRLY!!!

The husband left early in the morning to volunteer at our animal shelter, and I decided I needed the morning off! WOO HOO!

So I got up, drank my leisurely cup O coffee, read some blogs, headed to the workout room for a KICK ASS work out…Then I headed off for a shopping expedition!

Can I just say, it was a total party for one!!!

I was absolutely desperate for some work pants…I work in a “Business Casual” environment, and NONE of my pants were fitting anymore…So I went out and shopped like a mad woman this morning…

The truly amazing thing is though, as I was going through the jeans, I pulled out a size 20/22 (My starting size!!!) and I could NOT beleive I used to wear them…Truly…I couldnt relate to them at all, yet I wore that size for a long long time…TOO long…

It made me VERY VERY grateful to be a size 14…I sometimes forget that…
As I seem to be always on a quest for more more more…UGH…

The gooder news is (yes, I know thats NOT a word Scott!) I think I will be out of my 14s in the next 10 pounds…I hope, anyway…I had a hard time finding some today that fit me well…

Alot of them were baggy in my legs, prooving once again that me legs are getting smaller thanks to my workouts! (Yes, I tried squeezing into a 12 and it was NOT pretty!)

So now I am off for a bit to color my hair with my lovely husbands help, I shall become the Blond Godess I was meant to be!!!

ROCK ON, Miss Dawn!! What a fun morning! I can’t believe how many pant sizes you’ve already lost - before you know it you’re going to hit the single digit racks!! I think it’s great that you’re treating yourself to a personal party day - you certainly deserve it! (Also, it’s very cool that your DH volunteers with the animals…awwwww!)

I see you are a fan of ‘classic’ Prince, me too. Although my favorite songs of his aren’t fit to print the lyrics in mixed company.
Being that we are the same age, you will probably know what I am referring to. Do you remember the moment when you realized exactly what the 1 on the 1999 album cover was? We were in grade school when that came out, so we were a little slow on the uptake.

And I agree with you about cheese. I realized years ago that I don’t really like many foods that don’t involve melted cheese.
My husband is lactose intolerant and can only eat ’sharp’ or ‘old’ cheese (where there is no lactose). I find that’s better to have around because I don’t nibble on it as much, and the stronger flavour means you don’t need as much. For myself, I have been buying smaller, more expensive cheeses (like gruyier) and using them sparingly, rather than hunks of cheddar that I could devour. But cheese is the best, I agree.

Yee Haw, don’t cha love it when the clothes you are trying on are too baggy? Thanks for reminding me it is important to appreciate all we have done and be grateful….Seems we are always in a rush for more and don’t take the time to congratulate ourselves on our successes.
