Rude Awakenings…

Ummm. Okay…So Its really down and out in Columbus, Ohio, but that just doesnt sound catchy now does it?!?!?

rn

Confession time:

rn

I was not going to blog today. I did not blog yesterday. I had made up my mind not to blog for a while, and was even leaning towards staying away from here for a bit…

rn

Why? Because I am having very very bad week…Not weight wise, but life wise…

rn

And I felt it would be too much of a downer to come on here and wallow in my sorrows…But then I was reading Kari’s and Nikki’s recent blogs, and I realized something…

rn

We dont always have to be positive all the time…

rn

This weight loss journey, as with life, is stocked full of Ups and Downs…Lots of downs actually…Lots of pot holes and pitfalls…

rn

And I bet every single person here has suffered at least one…

rn

So I decided to come out here anyway…

rn

Yes folks, I fell in another damn pot hole today. And it hurt…And for a minute (okay, maybe longer) I didnt WANT to get up…I couldnt see through the pain…

rn

But I came out here, read blogs, checked in on everyone and I found myself relating to many of the stories…And I found myself smiling (ERIKA!!!) and I realized that pulling away from the support in your life is not good. EVER…

rn

So here I am…Nothing spectacular to report, no poetic thoughts today, just wanted to say thanks to all of you for being around…

I love that story.  You’re lucky you and hubby didn’t get a ticket or worse since the kids were minors!!

I like to rub it in people’s faces, like when I “made love to” my chocolate dessert at Ruby Tuesday!!!

Dawn, I loved your blog.  And I love this site because it makes me feel SOOOOO much better knowing I can come on here and count on my buddies for support.  That story was great.  Not great that the kids were rude, and judgemental, but great how you reacted.  I really wish I could sometimes turn my hurt into anger! One of these days I’m sure I will snap and “pull a Dawn”.  It really is such a funny story!  Thanks for always brightening up my day!

    Good for you Dawn.

Nobody should have to take any crap from anyone.

I think everyone on the site is beautiful on the outside and most importantly, on the inside…

    Love Ya,

    Nan

Hey Jess, I agree that we should have a new term called “pulled a Dawn”.  LOL  Dawn you are too funny, but thats awesome that you didn’t take that crap.  People can be so rude, but they are usually the ignorant ones.  So whatever you say to them they have no clue what to say back, but you are kickin’ girlfriend!!  You rock chicka!!

    Well said my friend!! Amen!!

You know if you lived in Southern California, I would’ve given you the lecture of your life for chasing after those kids….why?  Because here, people are too crazy, you never know who is packing (a gun) or who will come out after you with a switchblade knife…no joke.

I’m glad you’re safe and that you can look back and laugh about it….

And I agree, you are beautiful and as long as you see infront of the mirror what I see when I look at your picture, it’s all that matters.  Your friends are absolutely right, you are a beautiful girl and your DH is lucky to have you…no wonder he jumped to your defense!!

What is everyone talking about Dawn? Are you ok?

I don’t know if it’s my computer or if buddyslim is confusing w/ the blogs or what.  I was hard for me to read your blog b/c there was all kinds (color, font etc stuff) I’m like Erika, I’m so lost.

But one thing I did get was, you better not ever take a break from your buddies here or we will come knocking on your door to find you.
